XDDD Its gotta be akward when it starts to eat Luke..... Oola: Rancooooor! Rancor: *turns round* Baah? Oola: Noooooooooooooooo! Rancor: Baaaaah~ *bites off the head of the other alien* Oola: Bad Raancor! Shame on you! *squirty bottle*
Aw, that's so sweet! See, I'd much rather believe that that's what became of poor Oola - well, that, and that she and her new rancor friend then went on to travel from planet to planet solving mysteries.
Nice! It's marred only by the lack of Crying Fat Rancor Slob, which, as far as I'm concerned, *made* Jedi.
j/k, man . . .the pic is awesome, and I especially like how expressive Oola is in this pic. You've been doing a lot of these "girl with large person/object/thing" dealies--not that I'm complaing tho, they're all awesome! Well done!
Actually Crying Fat Rancor Slob was my first choice but I couldn't get the composition to work.
I recently got into the work of an artist named Mel Ramos so I guess his stuff is influencing me a bit right now. Shouldn't be on that kick too long, just for the side sketching I do to loosen up for actual page work. Though I am entertaining the though of making a new sketchbook dealing with women and art supplies and media.
If you'd used him you'd have had to mark it Mature--he shows a lotta skin. *L*
I've heard of his work, but I didn't quite know much about him. I really like the idea of an entire sketchbook of it, tho--it's a good concept for a con sketchbook and cleverer than the themes people usually do.
MATURE WARNING!!! I'd probably get banned from DA for doing that!
As for the sketchbooks, I just want to go on different routes. Everyone expects a pin-up type of book but what if the pin-ups are about women with giant stuff or monsters or even giant monster women, y'know? Being a pin-up fan myself I just think that if I did a sketchbook with just chicken scratches and linework and doodles that no one would really be interested in it.
Of course the cheesecake factor helps a ton as well but that's a whole other comment right there.
Yeah, is the world ready for nude Rancor Keeper teats? Probably not, and we're all better off for it. *L*
I think it really can only help. I have a collection of sketchbooks from a few different artists and the ones I come back to seems to me are always the ones where there's a *reason* all the sketches are there and it's not just some random dumping, you know?
Adam Hughes made a *career* out of the cheesecake, so I think it's just this side of respectable, innit?
